About
I am a socio-legal researcher at the University of Westminster, lecturing principally in constitutional and administrative law, legal skills and the English legal system and research methods. I undertake empirical research although I also conduct some doctrinal studies. My main research areas are: Access to justice, legal ethics, women and the legal profession, the operation of the legal system, dispute settlement and resolution, family law and constitutional and administrative law.
I have just completed the Complete Public Law Text, Cases and Materials for Oxford University Press with my colleague Harriet Samuels, as well as the 2nd edition of my skills book Legal Writing.

Holder of the Westminster Award for Excellence in Teaching & Learning for experienced academic staff with Steve Greenfield.
