Joe is the Reader of International Financial Law, Department of Advanced Legal Studies, University of Westminster. He is also Professor of Regulation and Supervision of Retail Banking at the University of Bologna, Alma Graduate School. Author of 14 books and 21 major articles. Joe is a former Deputy Attorney General of the State of Hawaii, investment banker with Nomura Securities and Kleinwort Benson Securities, director of business risk consulting with Ernst & Young and senior legal consultant to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group. His research interest is developing a theory of "risk symmetries" for the foundations of law, finance and the social sciences.
