About
I am Professor in the School of Law at the University of Westminster, and an adjunct Professor at the Department of Sociology and Political Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway. Co-Director of the Centre for Law Society and Popular Culture, I am also an editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Journal and of the Routledge Book series Studies in Law, Society and Popular Culture.
Current research projects include a second edition of the book Film and the Law and continued work on relational contract theory building upon recent work published in the Journal of Contract Law. Along with my fine colleagues Stephanie Roberts and Steve Greenfield, I am also conducting research into the regulation of mediums, and am also collaborating with Dr Mark James of Salford Law School on some research on the Olympic Games.
I am currently supervising a number of PhD and am very interested in supervising further research students in any of my areas of interest. I am happy to discuss ideas here so feel free to contact me with ideas for research degrees.
